The Nopal-cactus fodder is an innovative nutrient-rich livestock feed made from the mature leaves or racquets of the Nopal-cactus plant. Following a unique fermentation method developed in Mexico, the racquets are minimally processed in the livestock farms to increase their protein content.
The Nopal-cactus Opuntia is native to Mexico. For 6,000 years, this plant and its fruits have been consumed by ancient indigenous people from Mexico and Mesoamerica.
This delicious superfood is currently an important staple food of Mexican cuisine, but it is also an excellent feed for livestock.
